About Me

I grew up in rural Ohio and earned my bachelor's degree in applied physics, mathematics, and education from Ohio Northern University in 2014. I completed my Ph.D. in experimental plasma physics at West Virginia University in 2020, followed by a short postdoc and a position as a research assistant professor. In 2024, I joined Riverside Research's Plasma Physics Group as a staff physicist, working on projects supporting government and national security.
I returned to WVU in 2025 as an assistant professor, where my research focuses on low-temperature plasma dynamics and their applications in medicine. I also lead projects in space propulsion, fusion-relevant plasmas, plasma processing, and space plasmas, with a strong emphasis on developing advanced plasma diagnostics to probe these systems. In addition to my academic role, I'm part of Scime Scientific, where I contribute to innovative plasma technology development.
Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my wife and daughter. My wife and I share a love of horror—whether visiting haunted attractions or playing cinematic horror video games. We have two dogs, Murphy and Cooper, who keep us entertained. Some of the best days are those spent outside just enjoying the fresh air together as a family. West Virginia and Pennsylvania provide the perfect backdrop for this—beautiful scenery, rolling hills, and endless opportunities to experience nature at its best.
