Our Team
Our research group aims to connect a diverse and collaborative team of scientists, students, and professionals who share a passion for advancing plasma science and its applications. We bring together expertise from physics, biomedical science, and engineering to tackle challenging interdisciplinary problems. Meet the people driving our research forward below!
Research
Our group pursues a range of research projects spanning both fundamental and applied plasma science including low-temperature atmospheric pressure plasmas for biomedical applications, electric propulsion, fusion-relevant plasmas, and industrial plasma systems. Below are brief descriptions of active projects, which reflect our commitment to advancing plasma science through innovative experiments, diagnostic development, and interdisciplinary collaboration.
Teaching
I am deeply committed to fostering an engaging, inclusive, and adaptive learning environment that empowers students to develop a lasting understanding of physics. My teaching draws on diverse instructional strategies — from lectures and discussions to flipped classrooms, demonstrations, and project-based learning — to address the varied needs of learners. I aim to move beyond rote memorization, helping students analyze, synthesize, and apply concepts at increasingly higher levels of mastery. In the classroom and the lab, I emphasize active participation, real-time feedback, and a culture where students feel comfortable asking questions and making mistakes as part of the learning process. I strive to create a supportive space where students can build the confidence and skills they need to succeed academically and professionally, whether through coursework, research mentorship, or informal discussions outside of class.
